Our Manufacturing Facilities

Standen's main manufacturing facility is situated on 11 acres (4.65 hectares) in the industrial heart of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This facility, with over 20,000 square meters (250,000 square feet) of space, is complete with administrative offices, engineering and design, production, assembly, quality assurance and shipping. Our current annual production exceeds 50,000 tons.

Calgary, a major North American transportation hub with a regional population of over 1,000,000 people, is situated 200 km (125 miles) North of the Canada - USA border.

Standen's manufacturing plant has full forging capabilities and extensive heat treating and stress peening facilities. Our Tool and Die facility has extensive CNC equipment which allows very quick fabrication of the specialized high tolerance tooling required to meet our military and OEM customers demanding specifications. Much of the specialized machinery and equipment utilized by Standen's has been engineered and constructed in-house.

Standen's Manufacturing plant has multiple high capacity computer controlled walking beam heat treat lines and automated parabolic tapering machines  as well as a broad range of specialized equipment. This versatility allows production of a wide range of products in quantities from single prototypes to high volumes for original equipment manufacturers.
 
 
 

The plant uses computer controlled systems extensively to assure cost effective, consistent products of the highest quality.

Standen's has state of the art parabolic tapering capabilities.

Quality measuring and testing processes include hardness testing, Statistical Process Control, fatigue testing, magnetic particle inspection, metallurgic analysis, load testing, custom inspection gauges and fixtures, destructive testing, and other inspection and testing methods.

We're geared for state-of-the-art production of formed, forged, upset, threaded, or heat treated parts. We'll start from your requirement and completely develop the special product you need using our extensive in-house capabilities.
