Standen's Company HistoryDedicated to Our Customer's Success since 1924 |
| Standen's was established in the early 1920's by a young entrepreneur,
Cyril Standen, who began the firm by forging hot steel into his very first
product, a cowboy boot insert. Standen's grew to become a
supplier to the aftermarket leaf spring business and was incorporated in
1924. Over the years Standen's responded quickly to changing markets and
developed many new products. In the early 1970's the company had
expanded enough to begin producing leaf springs and trailer axles for original
equipment manufacturers (O.E.M.s).
Today, Standen's is one of North America's largest supplier of leaf springs, trailer axles, tillage tools and specialty heat treated steel products. Standen's is a major supplier to both O.E.M. and aftermarket industries.
In the mid 1970's, market studies were completed to determine the feasibility of becoming a producer of cultivator shanks and tillage tools for the Agricultural industry. State of the art shank manufacturing equipment was designed and implemented. Today, Standen's supplies most major O.E.M. agricultural manufacturers throughout North America as well as many overseas manufacturers. As news of Standen's high quality levels reached North American markets, Standen's became a supplier to many O.E.M. manufacturers as well as several military projects. Standen's Limited is now an integrated manufacturer of vehicle suspension products, industrial, agricultural and automotive components. Other products manufactured by Standen's include stabilizer bars, u-bolts, drawbars Today, under the leadership of company owners Mel Svendsen, President and C.E.O. and Gerald Lockey, Secretary Treasurer and C.F.O. encompasses over 250,000 square feet of technologically advanced
operations in four buildings that is

and services to our customers. To maintain high standards and top service
to customers, the Standen's team must constantly seek new ideas
