Standen's Limited is Registered to the
ISO 9001:2000 and TS 16949 Quality Standards
Why is ISO 9000 and TS-16949 Registration important?
ISO 9000 is an international general quality standard that is
recognized worldwide by all major countries and corporations.
TS 16949 is a much more complex international automotive quality
standard that is recognized world wide by global manufacturers of
automobiles and heavy trucks. TS 16949 replaces the QS-9000 North
American Automotive Standard. This quality standard was developed over the years by the International
Organization of Standardization (ISO) based in Geneva, Switzerland.
There are over 110 countries worldwide who are members of this organization.
In order to obtain these quality registrations a company must undergo a series
of rigorous external audits of virtually their entire business process.
The external auditors themselves must be certified by the Dutch
Council for Accreditation, ISO, and the Standards Council of Canada.
In order to remain registered the company must be re-audited
at least annually to ensure the standards are being maintained.
These standards not only ensures consistent product quality but also
ensures consistent quality of all business practices that impact the product
and the customer.
